Biography
A career rooted in veterinary science and animal breeding.
Dr. Uttam Sarkar is an academic and researcher specialising in Animal Genetics & Breeding. His professional experience combines teaching and research at WBUAFS with public veterinary roles in the Department of Animal Resources Development, Government of West Bengal.
His work has engaged genetic improvement, indigenous animal genetic resources, livestock health, and rural livestock enterprises. He has also served in academic, laboratory, digital-learning and university web-governance roles.
